The governor of Louisiana, Kathleen Blanco, is quoted in a front page article in this morning's Boston Globe:
" 'We need to watch our rhetoric,' said Blanco, who added she had no confirmation about corpses lying in the streets of New Orleans."
You do realize what this means, don't you? It means she hadn't been there. If she had, she'd have seen the corpses, just like we all have on TV.
The article implies that she said this yesterday, although it does not explicitly state the date.
Louisiana really needs a new governor.
